One of my favorite engagement stories unfolded on the breathtaking shores of Oahu, Hawaii, where I had the privilege of helping a young couple in their mid-20s plan a surprise proposal. The groom-to-be was eager to make the moment unforgettable, and he trusted me to orchestrate a proposal that was as intimate as it was spectacular.

To integrate seamless photography without disrupting the surprise, I tapped into my network of local contacts and secured a photographer who knew the area well. He provided aerial photographs with potential proposal spots highlighted, allowing us to plan the exact location meticulously.
We timed the proposal for sunset to maximize the natural beauty of the setting and accommodate the bride-to-be’s preference for staying off the sand after dressing up for the evening. The photographer was strategically positioned to capture the moment without being seen, ensuring the focus remained on the couple’s experience.
